Bio
This is Erica from the Pack (6Wolves1Spirit). After reading some of the wonderful o/fanfic floating around LJ, I decided I needed my own place to post such things as I might create, separate from The Pack's primary blog. Now of course I'm not the only writer within The Pack, but I'm the one that the bug bites most often. So it's safe to say that most of this stuff will be mine, but it's also a good bet that I took some constructive criticism from my Packmates.

So now, to explain the user name. Under the old Werewolf: The Apocalypse game system, created and published by White Wolf, there were three primary groups your character fit into: Breed, Auspice, and Tribe. There were 3 Breeds (Homid, Metis, Lupus), 5 Auspices (Ragabash, Theurge, Philodox, Galliard, Ahroun), and a whole bunch of Tribes. The breeds were assigned according to the character's birth form (human, werewolf, wolf, respectively), and after a coming of age ceremony, the werewolf could join whatever Tribe best suited them. The Auspices, from which I drew my username, however, are astrological signs derived directly from which lunar phase the character was born under (new, waxing/waning crescent, half, waxing/waning gibbous, and full, respectively.) Each Auspice tends to bestow certain traits on the werewolf, Ragabash are usually tricksters, while Theurges tend to be very spiritually adept. Philodox see the balance in things, are fair-minded, and generally have excellent judgement, and Ahroun are warriors through and through. Galliards, though, are natural-born storytellers, artists and bards from birth. Be it through song, dance, poetry, prose, music, sculpture, carving, or any other medium, werewolves born under the nearly-full moon keep the history and the legends of Garou cultural alive, and are always adding to them. All this is the gift of the Galliard.

And while I'm not exactly sure what moon-phase I was born under, and though I know that it's mostly fiction (there's a bit of truth in everything that's "just a story," after all)it's my hope I can do the tradition justice and keep the spirit alive.
